1)                 MPB is a face to face role-playing game set in a heavily modified world of darkness where the characters are mortals belonging to a loosely affiliated psychic organisation.

2)                 During the cold war the major superpowers of the world began research into E.S.P. and other supernatural or psychic areas, what they found was not what they expected. Their actions were more to disprove the existance of any un-natural powers yet when they found that there was indeed some truth behind theories of psychic abilities they decided further research was needed. At this stage America developed an organisation called the Meta-physical branch, it has no official status and most people in the government don't even know it exists. This MPB's role was to track down and assimilate those found with psychic or supernatural abilities and to defend the control from any un-natural threats.
