Agent: "Hello mister Walker, my name is Chris Ivanston. I would like to speak to you about some options available to you."

Subject: "Okay, go ahead."

Agent: "Now let me just see if my information is correct. You've been convicted on several counts of theft, you stole pieces of art from highly secure galleries acting entirely on your own. You haven't told anyone yet how you got past the security systems."

Subject: "No I haven't because I didn't break into the galleries. Someone was trying to frame me, I explained it all in court."

Agent: "Yes you did, but they didn't believe you. As I recall your fingerprints were found on the paintings. Now as it happens I actually know how you did it."

Subject: "Alright then, what is this theory of yours?"

Agent: "You stood outside the gallery probably no more than fifty metres from the door. You closed your eyes and visualized the building, in your minds eye you saw bright grids and points of light inside the building. One by one you imagined those lights fading and vanishing. Once they were gone you walked in through the front door grabbed the pieces of art you were looking for and walked out. Am I right?"

Agent: "You see, you are one of the very few people in the world who can do things with your mind that other people can't. With a mere thought you can control the flow of electricity and influence the way a machine works. It's a valuable and rare talent, I'm one of the three people in this country who are known to possess it, you are another. The third man is a known foreign agent working for Russia so you can see why our country would be interested in you and your powers."

Archival note: Another period of silence follows.

Agent: "Although our organisation is not completely official it has powerful connections. If you agree to work with us we can convince the district attorney's office to wipe your record. You will return to the world a free man and the agency will pay you a retainer's fee to keep your silence. Every so often the agency will request your aid on sensitive matters, if you help you will be paid a generous bonus. You can be as close or as far from the agency as you wish, as long as you agree to keep your silence. If you can't convince us that you will keep your silence then we will have to telepathically erase your memory of this conversation and never speak again."
 
 
 

Introduction
    In MPB you play the role of one of the many agents who work for the secretive agency which employs psychic individuals to protect the country from non-physical threats.
    The agency's main cause are to seek out and research metaphysical events to further the country's knowledge in the psychic arms race. Also when a threat comes along that can't be defended by normal means the agents are called to protect the normal citizens.
